Glen Willie (Navajo). Active era not specified in Hougart. Works in stamp work, nugget sets, and applique. Mark: G W.
What is known
Per Hougart 5e (p. 338): Glen Willie is listed among the Willie family silversmiths, a large Navajo silversmithing family with numerous documented members. His style — stamp work, nugget sets, and applique — places him in the classic Navajo trading-post tradition. The mark G W is simple initials, consistent with the abbreviated stamping style common among smiths who worked through trading companies.
No active dates, biographical detail, or family relationships are given by Hougart beyond the style and mark notations. Other Willie family members documented in the same section include Charles Willie (active since 1980s, channel inlay), Harrison Willie (active since 1980s), Lonnie Willie (active since 1970s), and J. T. Willie (born 1985, multiple award winner), indicating the family has been active across at least three generations.
No additional information found in Bedinger, Adair, Schaaf, or Hopi Silver sources.
