What is known
Beverly Etsate (Zuni) is recorded in Hougart as specializing in raised inlay, multiple layers, mosaic inlay, kachina jewelry, mud heads, and bears. She is the daughter of Rosalie Pinto — who herself is noted for mosaic inlay, carved and ceremonial figures — and sister-in-law of Betty Etsate (b. 1951, active since 1970s, cluster work and needlepoint). Beverly sometimes co-signed pieces with her mother Rosalie Pinto, using Rosalie's R.P mark alongside her own. Schaaf's American Indian Jewelry: 1,200 Artist Biographies also lists Beverly Etsate and Jimmie Etsate by name (Schaaf, p. 150).
