Mark Lomayestewa — Hopi Silversmith Hallmark
Mark Lomayestewa learned silversmithing at the Hopi Silvercraft Guild. Margaret Nickelson Wright's Hopi Silver, a register of Hopi smiths and their hallmarks, records him as a member of the Snow clan from Shungopavi, a brother of Clarence and McBride, who began silverwork in 1955 (Wright 2003, p. 81). He died in 1995.
His hallmark
Wright labels his mark "Snow Cloud." The printed drawing shows a round-topped dome enclosing a stepped, terraced block, above a row of four small upright rectangles (Wright 2003, p. 81).
