Bryant Othole

Bryant Othole — Zuni silversmith hallmark namecard

Name-card placeholder — hallmark imagery to follow.

Overview

Bryant Othole is a Zuni inlay artist known for sun faces. He collaborates with Vivianita Booqua (not yet in the directory), and he is the grandson of Jose Massie and Dora Massie — a family in which the sun face motif runs deep, as Jose's own entry records inlay sun face symbols.

Collector's caution: The B O V B mark is a collaboration mark — the initials pair Bryant Othole with Vivianita Booqua, and her corpus entry carries the same mark. A piece stamped B O V B is the work of the collaboration, not of either artist alone.
