Overview

Art Honanie is a Hopi overlay silversmith active since the 1990s. His documented marks are AH conjoined with a symbol, and a turtle.

Hougart documents several Honanie silversmiths, but Art's own entry states no family relation, so we record none.

Collector's caution: the AH initials are documented for more than one Honanie silversmith — Aaron Honanie's mark is AH inside a frog, while Art's is AH conjoined with a symbol. Hougart also documents a plain turtle mark for Hallie Honanie. Read the accompanying symbol, not the letters alone, before attributing.
