Roger Leekya — Zuni Silversmith
Roger Leekya is a Zuni channel inlay jeweler, a son of Leekya Deyuse. Gregory Schaaf's American Indian Jewelry I lists him as Zuni, active from the 1960s to at least 1990 in channel inlay jewelry, working with Lucille Leekya in silver and natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise, and names his brothers and sisters Robert, Francis and Sarah Leekya and Alice Homer (Schaaf 2003, p. 214).
Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures a channel inlay ring of turquoise made by Lucille and Roger Leekya among rings made in 1991 (Bassman and Bassman 2006, p. 15).
