Lance and Cordelia Waatsa — Zuni Silversmiths

Lance and Cordelia Waatsa are a Zuni couple who work in needlepoint and share one mark. Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists Cordelia Waatsa as Zuni, working in needlepoint, and records the mark she shares with her husband, Lance Waatsa (Hougart 2022, p. 328).

Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures a needlepoint bracelet of 1983 by Lance and Cordelia Waatsa (Bassman and Bassman 2006, p. 20). Nancy N. Schiffer's Turquoise Jewelry shows a concha belt by Lance and Cordelia Waatsa, Zuni, from the same year (Schiffer 2008, p. 46).

Their hallmark

Hougart gives their shared mark as Lance & Cordelia Waatsa, in etched script, sometimes with Zuni (Hougart 2022, p. 328).
