Gordon Honyestewa — Hopi Silversmith
Gordon Honyestewa began silverwork in 1988, according to Margaret Nickelson Wright's Hopi Silver, a register of Hopi smiths and their hallmarks (Wright 2003, p. 112).
Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists him as "Gordon Honyestewa (Hopi)," working in overlay and active since the 1980s (Hougart 2022, p. 144).
His hallmark
Wright shows a G H mark and a new mark from 1994, indexed as "Four Arrows" (Wright 2003, p. 112). Hougart lists a conjoined G H and four arrows, "used since early 1990s" (Hougart 2022, p. 144).
