Glendora and Rickell Booqua — Zuni Silversmiths
Glendora and Rickell Booqua are a Zuni couple who make channel inlay jewelry together and share one stamp. Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists Glendora Booqua and Rickell Booqua as Zuni, both working in channel inlay (Hougart 2022, p. 68). Gregory Schaaf's American Indian Jewelry I lists Glendora as Zuni, born about 1956, active from 1971 in mosaic and channel inlay and taught by her parents, and Rickell as Zuni, working in mosaic and inlay jewelry (Schaaf 2003, pp. 93–94).
Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures two channel inlay pieces by Glendora and Rickell Booqua, one of turquoise, coral, jet, pink shell, gold lip mother-of-pearl and grey oyster shell, the other of jet, turquoise, coral and mother-of-pearl (Bassman and Bassman 2006, p. 19).
Their hallmark
Hougart and Schaaf both record their shared stamp, R G B (Hougart 2022, p. 68; Schaaf 2003, pp. 93–94).
