The mark

Per Hougart 5e (p. ~250): Fannie Platero used three recorded hallmarks — F, FNE PLATERO, and PLATERO FNE — indicating that she stamped work both with a simple initial and with a longer mark combining her surname with what appears to be an abbreviated form of her first name (FNE likely standing for Fannie). The use of multiple marks across different periods or piece types is common among Navajo silversmiths documented in Hougart.
