Fadrian Bowannie — Zuni Silversmith

Fadrian Bowannie is a Zuni channel inlay jeweler. Gregory Schaaf's American Indian Jewelry I lists him as Zuni, born about 1961, active from 1974 in channel inlay jewelry, with butterflies among his favorite designs (Schaaf 2003, p. 95). Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists him as Zuni, active since the 1970s in channel inlay and figural work (Hougart 2022, p. 68).

Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures several channel inlay pins by Fadrian Bowannie among pins made in 1991 (Bassman and Bassman 2006, p. 27).

His hallmark

Schaaf records that he stamps F D B (Schaaf 2003, p. 95). Hougart gives F. D. B., a stamp shared with Delia Bowannie, and Fadrian Bowannie in script (Hougart 2022, p. 68).
