Evans Waatsa — Zuni Silversmith

Evans Waatsa (1943–2011) was a Zuni jeweler working in cluster work, needlepoint and inlay. Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists him as Zuni, 1943–2011, active since the 1970s (Hougart 2022, p. 328).

Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures needlepoint by Rena and Evans Waatsa across three decades: a link bracelet from the 1970s, a pin from the 1980s, and earrings and pendants among pieces made in 1991 (Bassman and Bassman 2006, pp. 44, 45, 49, 60).
