About this mark
The mark shown above is photographed directly on an authenticated piece from the T.Skies gallery — this is Ernest Roy Begay's actual stamp, not a recreation.
As struck, the mark is the initials ERB.
Ernest Roy Begay is documented as a Navajo silversmith in the T.Skies hallmark reference library.
Begay is one of the most common surnames on the Navajo Nation, so the initials are read together with the piece's provenance rather than alone. Additional biographical details are not yet confirmed for this entry.

Schaaf (2003, p. 74) listed Ernest Begay, also known as Ernest R. Begay and Ernest Roy Begay, Sr., as a Navajo maker of cluster jewelry, born in 1956. [1]
According to Schaaf (2003, p. 74), he learned in jewelry classes at Monument Valley High School and from his uncle, Paul Daw, Sr., and in 2002 won first prizes for cluster concha belts, cluster bracelets and cluster rings at the Inter-tribal Indian Ceremonial in Gallup. [1]
