Ernest Honyaktewa — Hopi Silversmith
Ernest Honyaktewa learned from Robert Honyaktewa and began silverwork at Mishongnovi in 1990, according to Margaret Nickelson Wright's Hopi Silver, a register of Hopi smiths and their hallmarks (Wright 2003, p. 103).
Theda Bassman's The Beauty of Hopi Jewelry shows a pendant of a maze he made in 1992 (Bassman 1993, p. 35). Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists him as "Ernest Honyaktewa (Hopi)," working in overlay and active since the 1990s (Hougart 2022, p. 143).
