Anita and Buddy Hattie — Zuni Silversmiths

Anita and Buddy Hattie are a Zuni couple who work in petit point and cluster jewelry and share one mark. Bille Hougart's Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks lists Anita Hattie and Buddy Hattie as Zuni, both active since the 1960s in petit point (Hougart 2022, p. 136).

Theda and Michael Bassman's Zuni Jewelry pictures a needlepoint and cluster ring and a needlepoint and cluster link bracelet made by Anita and Buddy Hattie, among turquoise jewelry made in the 1970s (Bassman and Bassman 2006, p. 44).

Their hallmark

Hougart gives their shared mark as a. H., in etched script (Hougart 2022, p. 136). Schaaf's hallmark index records an AH with a crown for Anita and Buddy Hattie (Schaaf 2003, p. 168).
