A. C. Henry is a Navajo silversmith who works in overlay technique. Hougart's documentation is brief but confirms the artist's mark.

The mark

"A. C. Henry (Navajo). Overlay. Mark: AC HENRY" — Hougart, Bille. Native American and Southwestern Silver Hallmarks, 5th ed. (2022), p. 139.

What is known

Overlay work — a technique in which a design is cut into one sheet of silver and soldered onto a backing sheet, with the recessed areas oxidized dark — is the only style information recorded. A. C. Henry appears alphabetically among several Henry-family Navajo silversmiths in Hougart, including Arlene Henry, Bernard Henry Jr., and George Henry, though no family relationship between A. C. Henry and these others is stated in the source.

No entry for A. C. Henry appears in Adair 1944, Rosnek & Stacey 1976, Bedinger 1973, or Schaaf 2003.
