Artist Spotlight: Wallace Begay

Wallace Begay is a talented Navajo artist. Each month Turquoise Skies spotlights a Native American artist, and this month we recognize Wallace for his beautiful art. He is a renowned multi-talented artist that specializes in water color, oil painting, and sculpture. His art is collected throughout the world. His work has won awards at Native American art shows in Santa Fe and Gallup, NM, and Flagstaff AZ.  He primarily works out of Whitestone Studio, a name given to him by his grandfather.

Wallace is originally from Tolani Lake, AZ.  After graduating from Window Rock High School in Ft. Defiance, AZ, he attended Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. You can see more of Wallace’s beautiful work and order  prints at:
