IFAM – Indigenous Fine Art Market
“A celebration of Native art and the cultures that inspire it.”
In 2014, the Indigenous Fine Art Market was born of a collaboration between artists and former SWAIA administrators. IFAM brought together artists, tourists, and collectors in the beautifully re-designed Santa Fe Railyards. The Market was open concurrent to the Santa Fe Indian Market, yet many Native art enthusiasts were glad to see the influx of new art and styles to the scene. Despite only having four months of preparation, the first Indigenous Fine Art Market was considered a great success.
IFAM is a celebration of all kinds of Native art. The event included traditional dancing, musical performances, classic Native food, and a contemporary fashion show. Jewelers, painters, sculptors, potters, and many other artists could all be found there.
